Three letters. Two meanings. Every racer knows both. On a results sheet, BFD means Black Flag Disqualification. It means you were inside the triangle in the last minute before your start, the race committee wrote your sail number down, and you are out — even if the race gets restarted. No protest. No hearing. In the rulebook's own beautifully cold phrasing: disqualified without a hearing. Everywhere else in the English language, BFD means something rather less formal. This shirt puts both readings on the chest and lets you decide which one you meant.
